Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pan

I have a newsgroup that I constantly monitor. If I click on another
group and back again everything is fine. If I read all the articles in
the group and then logoff (not close the app, logoff by the running man)
the next time I start the articles that I read are all unread again.
Makes it difficult to track what I have seen and not seen.

So I have read 85 articles, read them. I then minimised Pan and
upgraded system. I clicked log out and logged back in. I now have 85
articles unread. Workaround is to move off the group and back again so
that it is flushed to disk.

** Affects: pan (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
