Just to add, rather than increasing all the font sizes with ctrl+, if you go into firefox preferences, content tab and choose the advanced button by font size, you can set the minimum font size at anything 12 or more and it seems to fix the problem also. Worked for me, at least, and without making all the other fonts on a page enormous.
