Public bug reported: Hi,
after a not-so-good upgrade to 6.10 via dist-upgrade, I am now trying to reinstall from the liveCD. I choose manual partitioning. My /dev/hda1 = 10 GB, will be reformatted as ext3, so far so good. My /dev/hda4 = 100 GB, is an existing reiserfs and should be mounted as /home. /dev/hda4 is part of a software raid1 array. My /dev/hdc1 = 30 GB and should be reformatted as ext3 So, what happens after the partitioner formats /dev/hdc2 and /dev/hda1 ? It stops and tells it can't mount /home. If I choose 'continue' the installer exits. I switched to a terminal and tried to mount /dev/hda4, and this is the error I got: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# mount /dev/hda4 /mnt mount: unknown filesystem type 'linux_raid_member' The graphical installer just said there was a problem, not that there was a problem with 'raid'. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed ** Summary changed: - LiveCD Install can not mount existing reiserfs /home + LiveCD Install can not mount existing reiserfs that is part of software raid1 (/home) -- LiveCD Install can not mount existing reiserfs that is part of software raid1 (/home) https://launchpad.net/bugs/69471 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
