Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gcalctool

Package version:

5.23.90-0ubuntu1 (intrepid)

Reproduction steps:

Open gcalctool
Set mode to scientific by using view menu
Note the current angle mode (Radian, Degrees, Gradians)
For easy test, check Inv box.
Perform Acos(0)
The result will be 90, 100, or 1.57... depending on the current mode. If its
not the expected result, you've already triggered the bug. Otherwise, change
modes and repeat the calculation. The result will be the same.

Discussion:

The trigtype is stored as /app/gcalctool/trigtype (DEG, RAD, GRAD).
Changing the radio box within gcalc does not change the gconf key.
However, the calculation will use whatever mode is set within gconf.

** Affects: gcalctool (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
