Excellent, I was able to reproduce the problem with those directions.
Naming a folder testshare in my home directory, then making a file named
"test".txt (with quotes), then sharing the folder and viewing it under
smb://<hostname>/testshare showed the file as _W10J7~L.TXT instead.
Since there is enough information, I will mark this bug as Triaged so
that a developer can now begin work. Thank you for following through
with this bug report.
