Hi, After EVMS was dropped as a supported tool in Ubuntu 7.10, I switched my system to pure mdraid + lvm. I'd had this (and other) problems with EVMS, so I'm actually glad support was dropped as straight LVM is rock solid for me.
I may have been hit by something similar to what's described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Evms#Problems. I had seen those error messages at other points as well, and I had /boot outside of EVMS on a RAID1 set. It would explain the random boot failures I experienced. --Andrew -- /etc/init.d/evms breaks /dev/evms nodes created by initram-fs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/93265 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
