Public bug reported:

While tracking down a strange error with /usr/include/pthread.h:485
(tinyOS is insane, don't ask), I figured I'd see if libpthread-dev
would have a fixed version. Trying to install it fails,

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get install libpthread-dev
Reading package lists... Done
<snip>
Unpacking libpthread-dev (from .../libpthread-dev_2.0.7-2ubuntu2_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/libpthread-dev_2.0.7-2ubuntu2_i386.deb (--unpack):
 trying to overwrite `/usr/include/pthread.h', which is also in package
libc6-dev
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/libpthread-dev_2.0.7-2ubuntu2_i386.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Is this expected behavior? I don't know whether this is a bug in pth or
in glibc, so please re-assign as appropriate.

** Affects: glibc (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
