On Dell inspiron9300 it has similar 2 lights, one for bluetooth, and one for wifi. the keystrokes as mentiones does swith both wifi and bluetooth on and off. The light is missing on the wifi, and i think this has something to do with the ipw2200 driver. there has been some discussion about it if you google, but nothing done :-(
