Hello, Using Ubuntu 8.04, still have the problem: French keyboard layout works for most applications (applications with a GUI) but doesnt inside Gnome- terminal (ctrl+q insteead of ctrl+a).
This is very annoying, especially in LTS Ubuntu! I dont want to have to live with that for years! I spent several hours reconfiguring locales package for nothing since this si the terminal that's wrong!
