I just had a crash, and an icon in the notification area alerted me
about it. I clicked it, and gksu grabbed input for my password. I
canceled it, and then the icon disappeared. To me, that didn't feel
right. If an action requires root privileges, then I'd expect the
notifier to be present until I actually identified using my password.
Any thoughts about this?

I'll be happy to file a bug report on it, but then another question pops
up. If this is a bug, then it might affect other programs as well. I
haven't had the time to test this. Should I file this as a bug with
ubuntu and then add apport as an "also affects" package to make it a
general usability bug?

Thanks,

Jo-Erlend Schinstad
