Not sure why there aren't more people who noticed it, but this is a rather serious issue. Closing the lid of my laptop is supposed to put my laptop to sleep. Now, a bug will prevent this and this in some cases could be harmful for the computer. I know that this is a problem with nvidia proprietary drivers and that nvidia should fix this, but this is a rather serious issue and if someone provides a patch, is there a hope to get it in 12.04?
