Hey Alessandro,
Strong +1 from me, you have been one of the most active contributors to
the ubuntu-desktop set over the past cycles and having direct access
will make the work more efficient for you and the rest of the team and
allow you to mentor new team members.
For those interested in more detailed feedback feel free to check the
section I wrote in Alessandro's DeveloperApplication wikipage which
mostly apply to the desktop set.
Cheers,

Hi there,
I am applying to become a member of the ubuntu-desktop team.
Here's a document I had prepared showcasing my background and my
contributions in Ubuntu:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/aleasto/ContributingDeveloperApplication
Some additional information on my way of working is available in this
interview with an (ex) DMB member:
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/devel-permissions/2025-April/002822.html
That was intended for my Ubuntu Contributing Developer application,
but the DMB has been rather unresponsive, so after over 3 months of
waiting I have decided to skip that step.
Since applying for Contributing Developer, I've gained additional
experience with preparing an upload thanks to the sru-staging
repository, which is why I feel ready to apply for upload rights:
https://launchpad.net/~canonical-desktop-team/+archive/ubuntu/sru-staging
I am applying to reduce the burden on my sponsors, and increase the
throughput of fixes we can deliver to our users.
Please reach out if you have any doubts or comments.
Thank you for considering my application,
Alessandro
