Although I'm an avid fan of a white-on-black terminal theme and agree that it should be the default, I'm not going to add to the argument even more than what's necessary. But the way I look at it; if you're a really keen terminal user, such as myself who uses both Fedora 11 and Ubuntu 10.04 Server both in CLI mode only and don't even run X, you'd probably be using linux in the same manner. Resulting in a white-on-black terminal by default anyway. And for those nerds that do choose to use a terminal within an x session, just change it.
