It might be (before grub, especially), what does not exclude problems with multiple screens and ubuntu.
One of the annoying bugs I see happens when the thinkpad is connected to a docking station that has a displayport... port. This has an external screen attached to it - but this screen is also attached to another computer, via the screen's DVI port. When I turn the other computer off, and the external screen enters sleep mode, Ubuntu will freeze. Always, no matter if ubuntu is set to use the second screen or not. It just needs to be connected to this scren and the screen shut off. Instant freeze. 2013/7/25 Colin Law <clan...@googlemail.com> > On 25 July 2013 04:20, Dale Amon <a...@vnl.com> wrote: > > I have held back from putting in this report for a very long time > > as my experience reading this list has led me to believe that no > > one will much care because Granny Would Never Do That and she > > certainly Would Never Know How to Do That. > > > > I have a Thinkpad W520.
