I think it's getting fixed by https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcc-4.8/4.8.1-10ubuntu7 Please note it's best to file bugs on launchpad against packages, instead of emailing the mailing list. And also check recent uploads. It does take a while to build.
