Hello,

I read all about [1] when it was in the news, and I was quite surprised
yesterday that rebooting my freshly updated/updated Ubuntu 18.04 EC2 instance
was stuck with the grub_calloc error (which I only found out after talking to
level 2 Amazon support for a long time). Apt logs show Grub was updated to the
correct version on Aug 3.

Shouldn't a high priority update be released that performs a one-shot
re-install of the MBR part? There are likely many more machines with this
problem. People are reporting them [2].

Regards,

Wiebe
