Hi, We are happily using Ubuntu provided OpenJDK because OracleJDK had some crash bugs. Even that bugs might have been fixed, we appreciate if Ubuntu continues to provide an alternative, well-supported OpenJDK based JVM implementation.
As to Tomcat, having it in main is not important for us for several reasons: 1. Its easier to use official archive. 2. There are vital alternatives including Jetty.
