Time: 23/2/2012 @ 21:00 Attendees: Anas Emad Islam Hassan Muhammad Gamal Mahmoud Tantawy Omar Mohsen Agenda: 1- Updates 2- Council 3- New plan 4- Weekly meeting 5- Cairo University, Faculty of Engineering, Biomedical department event 6- Ref3atov as Art group leader Results: 1- Updates: * A member called Islam gave a presentation in Mansoura * We will participate in Open Mind open source event in Cairo University, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Systems on Thursday 28/2/2012 ( https://www.facebook.com/events/481542855215492/482770005092777/ ). The Session will be given Mahmoud Darwish. The title of the session will be decided soon. * We are community partners with Java Developers Conference 2013 2- Council: * The council doesn't do it's duty as the members lack the time and the initiative. * The council should be dissolved and the authority should be transfered to the group members. * The members should take their time, try, make mistakes and mature. * We can step in when needed. 3- New plan: * Phase 1: Get the members to be more active in real life so they can go in with out moderation: # We need successive large scale events to push the active members to the real world. # We should announce the events, call for volunteers, help them to do every thing by themselves until they get enough experience. # The next release party would be a good chance for that. * Phase 2: dissolve the council and transfer all the authority to the members: # When group members become active enough in real life, the council should be dissolved. Members can choose to recreate the council or any other form of moderation if they need it. 4- Weekly meeting: * Offline meetings will be hard to be regularized. * On line meetings can be arranged on IRC or google hangout. 5- CUFE Bio. Dep. event: * A teacher assistan from the Biomedical Engineering department asked for an inroduction session for his second year students this week. * Volunteers from CUFE will be asked to arrange and give the session. 6- Ref3atov as Art group leader: * As the council will be dissolved, interest groups will be dissolved too. * Ref3atov should be asked to replace Islam Wazery at least until Wazery returns from Military duty.
