Hi folks,
Oneiric has been released for a few days now, so I wanted to take this
opportunity to gather a few statistics about Checkbox usage. Here are
the number of submissions from the community for the 12 days following
the release of Oneiric:
3368 (100%) total
1661 ( 49%) 11.10
488 ( 14%) 11.04
472 ( 14%) 10.04
250 ( 7%) 8.04
201 ( 6%) 9.04
146 ( 4%) 8.10
111 ( 3%) 10.10
10 ( 1%) 9.10
22 ( 1%) other
To make things interesting, here are the numbers for the same period
following the release of Natty:
3507 (100%) total
1732 ( 49%) 11.04
504 ( 14%) 10.04
392 ( 11%) 10.10
325 ( 9%) 8.04
317 ( 9%) 9.04
159 ( 4%) 8.10
29 ( 1%) 9.10
49 ( 1%) other
A few interesting observations:
- 4% less users submitted results for Oneiric compared to Natty;
- 49% users tested the latest release for both Natty and Oneiric;
- 280 users submitted results per day for Oneiric,
292 per day for Natty;
- Users converge to recent releases (11.10 > 11.04 > etc.),
except for LTS (8.04 > 9.04).
