We already have a VOIP server / client called murmur (server component) and mumble (client component) I forced my wow guild to use it and we have been happily using it in a mixed operating system guild (Me (Ubuntu), OS X, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7). It works without a hitch and has brilliant audio quality with near no latency.
