The system looks interesting and I'm starting to be motivated to officially join the team and help out :)

The main system requirement is to have working 3D acceleration, so make that is enabled in vbox and configured correctly. Typically my VM's get 1 cpu, 2GB RAM w/ 3D enabled and they run fine. However if running with llvm (software rendering) then I have to bump the cpu's to atleast 2, to get usable performance.

PS use `glxinfo | grep -i opengl`to check the 3D configuration, if you see llvm in that output you are running software rendering.
