Hi all, This is the 2nd email that is a part of the planning phase/stage for Ubuntu GNOME Wily Werewolf (15.10) Cycle.
The 1st email was: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-gnome/2015-August/003373.html T, stands for Task. What does that all mean?! I am simply suggesting that each and every Sub-Team of Ubuntu GNOME [1] is requested to provide a plan for 15.10 cycle which has only 3 tasks, no more and no less. Why? The answer is simple: KISS [2]. Also, we have no time to dream big for this cycle. We just started the planning phase after Alpha 2 period which means, we're late and have very limited time. 3 tasks are very reasonable and will be easier to implement and easier to evaluate if one or more sub-team will fail to achieve the goal. Please keep in mind that there is a difference between: - Internal Feedback - Users' Feedback - Plans In here: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-gnome/2015-August/003373.html I have explained the differences between the internal feedback and the users' feedback. These 2 types of feedback will help us to set the proper plans for our sub-teams. With the help of these feedback, we shall have a clear and better vision. The reports that, as per Tim's suggestion [3], are supposed to be sent by the drivers/team leaders of Ubuntu GNOME sub-teams are considered to be Internal Feedback, *not a plan*. So, if all agree to this suggestion/idea of the Triple T Plan, let's move forward based on that :) *Example:* The plan for Ubuntu GNOME Wiki & Documentation Sub-Team is: - T1: Make sure the main pages are updated and maintained. - T2: Finish, if possible, the convert from One Stop Page/Indexing concept to CHP concept [4] - T3: Find a driver and contributors to this sub-team. Thank you! [1] - https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/SubTeams [2] - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KISS_principle [3] - https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-gnome/2015-August/003370.html [4] - I will try to send an email about it. CHP stands for Central Home Page. It is a new idea I have come up with which, IMHO, must stronger and better than One Stop Shop concept for Wiki Pages. Hope I can explain that later. -- Remember: "All of us are smarter than any one of us."
