While https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases is not clear, the individual release pages do mention the support lifespan at the top of the page. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/XenialXerus/ReleaseNotes https://wiki.ubuntu.com/TrustyTahr/ReleaseNotes Unless supported by a particular flavor, packages outside of 'main' or 'restricted' are generally only supported for the first 3 years of an LTS. But almost everybody uses at least some packages in 'universe'.
