And how about to make the loop smarter and CC upstream?

Guido sends me patches from time to time, but why add latency?

Also, note that if a patch is not correct, you will affect 2
distributions. Best to pass it to upstream and Debian.

That way we can merge it faster, you carry less delta, and patches get a
sign-off from upstream == you get the change supported.

I am personally in charge for RHCS merging of community/contributed
patches so I mean.. here you get your fast track to upstream. Beat that :P

I do understand all of the above. Remember I used to be in that position
myself.

Ubuntu users are coming more and more often to the channel, looking for
help, and we want to help them. Both as upstream and distro.

It is a sign that Ubuntu has been used for testing and maybe
deployments. A good thing :)

Problem is simple, as upstream we can´t cover automagically all distro
channels. We need help to support.
