Title:
Heartbeat Package does start at boot even though it is set so
Status in “heartbeat” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: heartbeat
Heartbeat doesn't start on boot as is it is supposed to. I have the
reason why though so this should be fixed easily:
There is an incorrect parameter in the /etc/init.d/heartbeat script for
Ubuntu systems. Guess this is an incorrect default option for heartbeat but a
bug for Ubuntu package of it. Apologies if people think this should have been
raised as a bug. Delete if necessary.
DISTFUNCS line is set incorrectly to:
DISTFUNCS=/etc/rc.d/init.d/functions
When it should be:
DISTFUNCS=/etc/init.d
Obviously this will break other distros if changed so someone needs to
put a clever IF or OR statement into check both locations is functions
is not valid. Either that or change to above as this is Ubuntu package
:o)
sudo apt-cache policy heartbeat
