Using the default /dev/dsp gives "Error: cannot open sound device /dev/dsp" (pulseaudio is using it). A workaround is to launch xchat with: padsp xchat As pulseaudio is installed by default this workaround should be documented in the package. The package could offer to change the shortcut on install to a simple wrapper script that uses padsp if it finds pulseaudio. maybe with /usr/bin/pulseaudio --check To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cwirc/+bug/601750/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-hams-devel Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-hams-devel More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
