The latest version of qsstv (7.1.7-3) is now available, with native ALSA
support (no need to use padsp); it is the default version available for
install in Ubuntu 12.10.

For previous Ubuntu releases, the latest version of qsstv is available from the 
Ubuntu Hams Updates PPA:
  https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-hams-updates/+archive/ppa
or from this qsstv-only PPA:
  https://launchpad.net/~kamalmostafa/+archive/qsstv

  Soundcard detection and freeze after padsp

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: qsstv

  Hi im trying to run qsstv. When run only single file qsstv, im not
  able to do anything, because /dev/dsp isnt. And when i run it like
  padsp qsstv, something goes wrong. After click on green lights
  program freeze.
