It is not suggested to do that as you break a great lot of things. But, changing your sources.list entry for gusty packages and doing an apt-get dist-upgrade is a crude way of updating from 7.04 to 7.10. > 2. then how do i go about it - can i use apt-get after adding the 7.10 > repositories or just download the .deb file and use the built in package > installer (Gdebi etc) If you want the latest packages, you can get it from the projects main web site, either .debs if available or build from source. Gusty has almost reached stability now and there is only some minor bug fixes happening. You can very well upgrade yourself to gusty without any fear. -- Parthan "Technofreak" [web] http://technofreak.in [irc] teKnofreak @ irc.freenode.net [mobile] MAA +919840209424 BLR +919845446647 -- ubuntu-in mailing list ubuntu-in@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-in
