Thank you aditya for your reply. When I was SUFFERING FROM WINDOWS, I got this 8.04 version of UBUNTU, which was a desktop version, came on a cd, it gets booted from the cd and I could even use the internet. I do not know to configure LINUX or the internet, but still this version of UBUNTU kept me aside, configured itself and even I could use the net. Just got LFY book's UBUNTU 8.04LTS and installed it. not yet experimented with it, but, the internet is working and hence this mail.
I thank all the people behind this beautiful and hectic work. Really I bow to give my respects to one and all concerned with this UBUNTU and LINUX OS. Thank you all once again!
