dear all this is not of an information. i was planning to install a USB wireless adaptor for ubuntu 8.10
i bought a dlink DAW 110 (for a mere Rs. 1100/-). i just connected it and it worked like a charm. i didnt have to install anything. i even use a WAP2 passkey protection for my wireless. but it worked perfectly. if any of u are planning to get USB wireless adaptor, use d-link. hope this information is useful.
