Hello everyone,

I am new to the world of fonts and to some extent to linux too. My problem is as
follows:

Can anyone tell me how can I introduce a new character (I'll design its glyph)
in an Indian language font and make it behave (in terms of conjugation -
sanyuktakshar) properly.

I am using scim and m17n as input method and work on Ubuntu 12.04.

As far as I understand, I need to create a new codepoint and then write rules
for rendering into pango for this. Is this correct? Can anyone give some
leads/hints?

I'll highly appreciate any help.

Thanks,
-Atul
