I think your 'later on' suggestion is more awkward than the existing
sentence, however.

In the last sentence of the 'Installing Ubuntu' section, the phrase 'later on' 
refers only to the installation of extra programs, and not to the parts of the 
sentence that follow it, which would make more sense. In addition, there should 
be an oxford/serial comma added before the word 'photos'. I recommend that it 
be rephrased to "install extra programs, as well as store your own documents, 
music, and photos, later on".
