In the example of sudo a graphical application is used (gedit). As far
as I know using sudo with graphical applications is dangerous and I was
told to use gksudo (for further information:
http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/graphicalsudo).

I think that a non-graphical application might be better as a example.
