In this case we have decided that we will maintain the use of sudo. This
section is talking about the use of sudo and not gksudo.
There is also a note on the right hand side of the page that implies
that the command is being run from a terminal window.
If we were demonstrating sudo from within the graphical environment
(e.g. The Alt+F2 run menu), it would be more appropriate to use gksudo
as the user would not be prompted to enter a password.
Thanks for taking the time to help out.
Chris

Bug description:
Chapter 6, 'Introducing sudo'
Page 123
In the example of sudo a graphical application is used (gedit). As far as I
know using sudo with graphical applications is dangerous and I was told to use
gksudo (for further information:
http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/graphicalsudo).
I think that a non-graphical application might be better as a example.
