This has been fixed in the second edition. Thanks! -- Comma splice on p.26 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/585303 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Manual Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Manual.
Status in Ubuntu Manual: In Progress Bug description: Rev. 788 Ch. 2, ยง "Closing, maximizing, restoring, and minimizing windows", p. 26 (PDF p. 28) Type: grammar Manual has a comma splice (before "however"): Once minimized the window will no longer be visible, however, its corresponding button in the bottom panel will remain, indicating the program is still running in the background. A comma could go after "minimized" (if you really like commas), but not before "however": a full stop or semicolon is the appropriate punctuation. Alternatively, "but" could be used as the conjunction: Once minimized the window will no longer be visible, but its corresponding button in the bottom panel will remain, indicating the program is still running in the background. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual-bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
