Status in Ubuntu Manual: New Bug description: On page 135 of lucid-e2-r158.pdf downloaded from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/382986/ubuntu-manual/UbuntuManual.html - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/382986/ubuntu-manual/lucid-e2-r158.pdf . There is a section on fixing the problem of booting to blank screen by issuing the "sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" command. It is often suggested to run this to 'fix' the xorg.conf, but in fact for some time now this command doesn't touch xorg.conf. So it's completely pointless running it. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual-bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
