Google Play could be possible because they accept PDF format files. iBookstore accepts only EPUB files and Multi-Touch books.
We are already on Amazon as a printed paper edition. Making the Manual available on Kindle could be more tricky. See below. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Getting-Started-Ubuntu-12-10-Manual/dp/1481265121/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1365206967&sr=1-1&keywords=ubuntu+manual At the moment we are limited to pdf format files. Until the manual can be generated in either epub or mobi format we cannot add the file to Kindle or iBookstore. We will look into Google Play. ** Changed in: ubuntu-manual Assignee: (unassigned) => Chris Woollard (cwoollard) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Manual Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Manual. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1103679 Title: Broader distribution of Ubuntu Manual (Kindle Store, Google Play, iBookstore) Status in Ubuntu Manual: New Bug description: Google Play : http://support.google.com/books/partner/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1079107&from=1081067&rd=1 Kindle Store : https://kdp.amazon.com/self-publishing/signin iBookstore : http://www.apple.com/itunes/content-providers/book-faq.html To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-manual/+bug/1103679/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual-bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
