I have tried writer2latex, but I do not find it useful. The output is
very different from the code we use.

Do you want to do the Getting Online section ?
As I wrote, I would start with "Viewing and Editing Photos" (because
it's shorter :-) ) for my first contribution to the manual. But if
someone else has this section, I would take an other, too.
