Hello,

Well, I really think that this reference will makes sense for readers/fan of
H2G2 and no one else.
It will not reach the mass market.

In fact, I think it could be interesting because we could have two messages
:
* one more "geekish" for the H2G2 fans with implicit references (include
developers, binary notation & co)
* one generic : no mention of the reference for generic Ubuntu release
material

On another level, even with no link to H2G2, I think that the 10.10.10 date
is interesting by itself
as it is clearly a particular one. But from a communication point of view,
I'm not sure this is of interest as most of the media will certainly
run at least one story about this particular date (10.10.10) and it will
somehow dampen the impact of any
press-release/event that will happen this exact same day (i.e.: media
bandwidth will be used by some other messages).

This being said, a marketing campaign can surf on this 10.10.10 wave but
mixing messages is always ... tricky.

Ben
