Nick is thinking of Aq's udstream: https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-microblogging/udstream/trunk It would be nice if we could rally some people around that and develop it to such a point where it would someday go on an ubuntu domain. It was very much a quick hack at UDS. Speaking of UDS, we should start thinking about how we're going to do it this time around. We now have groups in identi.ca which we didn't have for Mountain View, and I am debating wether having the individual track accounts is still the best way to do it. I am also thinking that the accounts are good because people shouldn't have to overtag the things- "!ubuntu #kernel #uds #jaunty We are doing foo". So it wouldn't hurt for us to have a discussion for having a more elegant way of getting the info from UDS out to people who are not there. I think we can all agree that using whoisi didn't turn out as well as we hoped. If someone wants to start a w.u.c/Uds/Communicate or something that starts documenting how we're going to blog, use tags, flickr/picasa, dents, tweet, and all that other 2.0 business we would probably get better participation from people at UDS itself, and then we can just reinforce the lessons learned from that for the rest of the time when we're not at UDS. We should investigate doing something like the debian thing, it would be useful for little tidbits of info. -- Jorge Castro jorge (at) ubuntu.com External Project Developer Relations Canonical Ltd. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-microblogging Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-microblogging More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
