Architecturally, the Eee PC is the same as the McCaslin platform supported in MIC. I'd try making a live usb image first, as the install image will wipe the local drive.
The only issue I can readily think of is the default resolution for X. The Q1 Ultra, which the McCaslin image is more specific to, has a higher resolution capability than the Eee.
