I am not sure that this matters but the "Volume Control" panel does not include a task bar. It has a drop down selector titled "Device:" with the options described below. Using your instructions I find that I have the following "Device:" entries: HDA Intel (Alsa mixer) Realtek ALC269 (OSS Mixer) Playback: HDA Intel - ALC269 Analog (PulseAudio Mixer) Capture: Monitor of HDA Intel - ALC269 Analog (PulseAudio Mixer) Capture: HDA Intel - ALC269 Analog (PulseAudio Mixer) I have tried all of them. When I rub my finger across the mike I can get static out of my speaker but no sound recorded with Audacity. > > That should help... > > Thanks > > Ronald Stewart > www.indamixx.com > > On Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 7:08 PM, Ronald Stewart > > <ronaldjstew...@gmail.com> wrote: > > Hi, > > > > Could it be in the alsa mixer that you are getting feedback on the mic > > input but the input connect in audacity is mic front... two different > > mic inputs front and mic front ??? > > > > Thanks > > > > Ronald Stewart > > www.indamixx.com > > > > On Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 7:02 PM, Kent Loobey <k...@uoregon.edu> wrote: > >> On Monday 30 March 2009 17:18:54 Kent Loobey wrote: > >>> I have a problem with the screen size of the beta posted on March 30 > >>> th.
