Hi, Nice idea. I recently started something similar for ubuntu-dev-tools (http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-dev/ubuntu-dev-tools/trunk/annotate/head%3A/setup-packaging-environment), maybe you could add some of your stuff there.
