I'm not sure how debian is actually handling this.

According to
http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=supertux&searchon=name&subword=1&version=all&release=all

supertux 0.3 is in experimental, and 0.1.3 is in unstable.  This is
effectively what we're doing (0.3 in feisty, 0.1.3 in edgy).

How can we do what they want?

Also, where have they said that they're not happy?  I've not seen
reference to this at all.
