Hi, In principle it's possible to do this using a nested-X-server approach. It will require you to 1. Provide a Upstart/systemd service, that starts before LightDM/GDM, which launches a bare Xorg server spanning all avaliable outputs. 2. Install package xserver-xorg-video-nested (available in Ubuntu Multiseat PPA) and provide a suitable xorg.conf.
I'll try to write a tutorial in Ubuntu Multiseat wiki ASAP. Kind regards, Em Mon Nov 24 2014 at 07:47:29, Garth Dahlstrom <[email protected]> escreveu: > Hi, > > I'm not sure where to ask this question, so I am posting it to your list. > (I can't post to "Answers", or I would have posted it there) > > I have an Asus Chromebox running Ubuntu 14.10 which has an Intel video > card with an HDMI and a DisplayPort port and 4 usb ports. > > The video card is able to power both video outputs simultaneously, but I > would like to split them into seats so that input can be segregated from > the displays so I can run one seat with MytthTV/XMBC and other with a > monitor for doing work. > > My question is whether it is possible to assign outputs on the same video > cards to different seats?
