I don't know what your general problem is. But I can tell you that LFE
stands for "Low Frequency Effects" and refers to the subwoofer or ".1"
channel in 5.1 or 7.1 audio configuration. I use the regular Ubuntu
Pulseaudio configuration on my desktop and laptop, which work fine, but
I've always used MythTV with straight ALSA.
