dbus-launch is only called if there is no $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS defined in the program that runs gdbus calls. Does that indicate that we have some race condition/bug in environment passing/some upstart session job losing environment/similar problem? Also, it seems a bit strange to me that we run /etc/X11/Xsession.d/ on a pure Mir/Unity8 session. Almost all scripts should be unnecessary, except maybe 00upstart. Is that done with the future convergence in mind? > dbus-x11 - which only contains /etc/X11/Xsession.d/75dbus_dbus-launch > and depends on the dbus-launch package In case it's easier to do, you can also drop use-session-dbus from /etc/X11/Xsession.options.
