I played a bit with the the couple of bug reports on this and the problem seems to stem with a wrongly formatted name previous name was libplybootclient whereas now it's lib-ply-boot... You could solve it by the way mentioned in the thread,or by starting a live cd, mounting your root partition, then alt+F2, gksudo nautilus and then point it to /lib/ where you create a symbolic link to libply-boot-client.so.2.0.0 named libplybootclient.so.2 ,then restart and Lucid should boot up without a hitch.
