I just completed a 12.04 beta2 lubuntu upgrade of an old laptop and

# Dynamic resolv.conf(5) file for glibc resolver(3) generated by

it is not a bug, 12.04 integrate a DNS Resolver daemon and uses
resolvconf to manage /etc/resolv.conf
