I'll let you guys continue to work through this. The current system in the tracker lets you put a link in -- any link you wish. Historically this was a link to your ubuntu friendly profile which could be created with checkbox. Since ubuntu friendly has sort of languished and results not always showing there, it's sort of quasi deprecated. Our choice for a new system is HEXR, but it's not yet available to us. The goal was to have a site to manage your submissions that included testing related views -- HEXR fits the bill here. We would continue to use checkbox to submit and the tracker would grab the systems attached to you and give you a dropdown to select which one you used.

Sounds great right? Sadly it's not come to pass yet. While we've been waiting the feature is kind of in limbo. However, people have taken to running lshw and then pasting the output someplace like pastebin where it won't expire and updating it as needed; reusing the link in the tracker. The could be better ideas / ways of dealing with this but for the moment it's a bit muddy. Keep the discussion going and in light of this bit of history, let's see what we can adopt as best practice for the cycle.
